Peter Saunders:

(Accompanist)


After a short career in Physics, Peter switched to music  at the age of 29. He accompanies choirs and instrumentalists, and for 8 years worked with the Hertfordshire County Youth Choir under John Railton and Peter Fowler, where they performed both at home and abroad,  in Norway, France and Germany. He has directed musical groups in  North Hertfordshire, and teaches piano there. Peter  has also attempted to play all the stringed instruments.




Peter Saunders has been the Male Voice Choir's accompanist for the past 32 years during a succession of eight seperate conductors. He has been organist  at All Saints' Church, St Paul's Walden for 36 years and this is where Stevenage Male Voice Choir recorded its most recent CD: Brothers Sing On!

 Peter enjoys chamber music as piano, violin and viola player, and accompanies (mainly) young musicians for their Grade examinations. He has also arranged and composed music for chamber groups, piano pupils and church choir.

His leisure pursuits include hill-walking, cycling, touring, cookery, struggling with the computer, meteorology, gardening and more music-making.
